I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pisa in the Giuntoli group, studying how hydrogen sulphide modulates anaerobic responses in plants. During my PhD, I explored how different factors influence the hypoxic response in plants and developed a general interest in synthetic biology, coordinating a team from the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, the Scuole Normale Superiore and the University of Pisa for the iGEM competition. I have joined the Flashman group for a visiting period to characterise PCO activity in relation to hydrogen sulphide. In my free time, I love going to the cinema, riding my motorcycle, and going to music festivals.
