Hi, I'm Oscar! I'm a fourth-year biologist working in the Flashman lab for my master's project. This year, I will be investigating how mutations affect the activity of PCO enzymes and whether these might make plants more flood tolerant, building on the work of lots of other members in this group. I will also be performing some in silico directed evolution, based on the results of this testing, to find new mutations that could be even better at modifying barley PCO activity.
